Serpentijn Art and Athletics – Cycling Kit

In my senior year course where companies and brands partner with MIAD to create design work, Serpentijn proposed a cycling kit decorated with a pattern of our own design. The brief detailed having a pattern that told a story, emulating the french ‘toile’ style. I went with a pattern in a medieval drawing style that told the story of a knight that goes against a serpent, much like how Serpentijn competes in their bike races. This apparel exercise showed me how to work around a style within a color palette, as well as working with established sponsors and placements to best represent a brand.
